The artist has depicted sailing ships moored next to a wooden dock and buildings. A rust colored dingy is next to one of the ships and in the background, a ship seems to be lowering it’s sails, ready to dock for the evening.
Oil wash gives the art a look of a watercolor but the permanency of an oil.
