Airman’s Inspiration by Thomas Blackshear framed

Airman’s Inspiration by Thomas Blackshear is an open edition giclee canvas size 18″ x 18″ framed with a gold traditional ornate wood frame, overall framed size 22 3/4″ square.  The artist has depicted a young African American pilot, looking at a hummingbird… the inspiration for flight and for him to fly planes.  The young man wears an early rendition of a helmet and goggles.  The helmet has a wing design and he wears a scarf as many early pilots were.  There is a lot of symbolism in this image, of man’s desire to fly.
